I think I was awakened by the thunder early this morning at about 4 plus. Hee~ Still wondering whether it was the thunder that woke me up or whether it was He that use the thunder to wake me up to speak to me. I felt so alive then that I had to ask Him to help me get back to sleep.Keke.And I had one of the best sleep ever. Even now I find it difficult to come out with words or even remember them=)
It was a passage I was reading in a book my fren present to me a few days back. A scripture we are all familiar with but the simple truth He laid for me was just so powerful. In Ephesians 5:18-20, it says that the key to being filled with the spirit is to sing songs and make melody in our hearts and also to give thanks always.
Have you experienced a time when you suddenly felt lousy and down for no apparent reason, but after you toke out one the christian cds to listen, you felt good again. The feeling left and now you feel the love of God in you? It has happen many times to me or rather it is something I do each time when I'm feeling down.
Recently,I had been unconsciously listening to songs more than i used to(to church, to shops, at home)Basically during most of my waking moments?Hee. If not on MP3, it would be on my player at home.More so during the period I receive my MP3 player=) And i didn’t really know the impact it had on me until He reminded me this morning. Then if this verse is true, and it IS, when you listen to songs and make melody in your heart you are continually receiving the life in you- the continual in filling of the Holy Spirit in you. Then He told me this-When you are filled, you walk in the FULLNESS of God! I want to be in the fullness of God. Later, He reminded me another thing. There was not a day I was feeling down since I started listening. I was always full of the joy of the Lord in me that it becomes evident to the ones around me. A few of my collegues in my last attachment even said “You are always happy. We’re going to miss your smile when you leave=)”
Not only was I filled with joy, I was practically walking more and more in the His divine favor in my life.
Then I went over to check the meaning of fulness in Thayers.
