He holds the key
"The one who is holy and true says this to you. He holds the key of david. When he opens something, it cannot be closed. And when he closes something, it cannot be opened. I know what you do. I have put an open door before you, and no one can close"
Every close door is an opportunity for an open door blessing
There’s only two stories in the Bible which I found out that mention about close door/shut door. Both are mention in 2 Kings 4.
The first story was about a widow, whose husband has owed a lot of money and the people is coming to take her two sons for an exchange. The widow went to Elisha to ask for help.
2Kings4:2, Elisha answered, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?”
The woman said, “I don’t have anything there except a pot of oil.”
Then Elisha said, “Go and get empty jars from all your neighbours. Don’t ask for just a few. Then you must go into your house and close the door. Only you and your sons will be there. Then pour oil into all the jars. Sets the full ones to one side.”
The second story is about a child who died on his mother’s lap. The mum set out to find Elisha for help, for he was the one that has prophesied that she would give birth to this child.
2 Kings 4:32, Elisha came into the house. There was the child, lying dead on his bed. When Elisha entered the room, he shut the door. Only he and the child was in the room. Then Elisha prayed to the Lord.
What do we usually understand when people mention close door?A close door to a job usually meant not getting that job.
When the door was close, what was inside the room with the widow and Elisha?
A child waiting to be taken by some stranger. Death looms at the heart of the mother. Both had a child who was going to be taken from them forever.
Imagine the fear that would have crippled them. You may be in a situation that seems like a close door. Something you love is taken away from you. You think you have nothing left.
But Elisha asked the widow what she has with her, she replied just a pot of oil.
What does oil represent?Oil is usually used to anoint in the Old Testament. I remembered too that it is related to the Holy Spirit. Feeling unsure I asked the Lord this and he guided me to open up a book as a confirmation to this.
“Holy Spirit anointing is fully scriptural. In the Old Testament all who served God had to be anointed. This is replaced in the New Testament by the Holy Spirit for ALL believers. The first thing to learn is that ‘anointing’ is just one of the synonyms of the baptism in the Spirit…Before the day of Pentecost, priest were anointed, and carried the fragrance with them, but after Pentecost believers carry the Spirit of Christ.”-Reinhard Bonnke
The widow only had a pot of oil. You are not left with nothing. You have the Holy Spirit in you.
Look now what both the widow and Elisha did when they close the door.
She filled the oil into the empty jars. Elisha prayed.
ONLY the widow and her son were in the room. ONLY Elisha and the child were in the room.
Go into you room. Close the door. Bring your problem to the Lord.
Pray in the Spirit. Pray in tongues. Be filled with the Spirit.
Matthew6:6 : When you pray, you should go into your room and close the door. Then pray to your Father who cannot be seen. Your Father can see what is done in secret, and he will reward you.
What was the reward to them. The door will surely open, and it’ll be a miracle when it happens.
Of nothing to OVERFLOWING. Of Death to LIFE!
2Kings4:7, She went and told Elisha. Elisha said to her, “Go and sell the oil and pay what you owe. You and your sons can live on what is left.”
2Kings4:37, She came in and fell at Elisha’s feet. She bowed facedown to the floor. Then she picked up her son and went out.”
Every close door is an opportunity for abundance, for the supernatural to take place.
If you think you are left with nothing, do not be despair. You have the greatest gift within you and that is the Holy Spirit.
Activate, fan into flame this gift by praying in the Spirit.
He will make something out of nothing and open the door of blessing on you

I will follow after you
Was listening to Pastor Chin's sermon from campus yesterday when he ended the message with one of the songs he wrote in one of his lowliest moment, "I will follow after you". I just felt my heart being melt away so strongly by Abba's love. And it was only the background music and part of the lyrics that was being sang.
I thought then how nice if I've the full lyrics to that sang with it's music. Then I remembered my dear fren Elaine.I message her if she could play the piece and record for me with any other church songs.
I didn't expect it to arrive so fast. She finished it the day itself=)
Thanks Elaine for taking your time to do this. I know you've spent a great deal of time in this. Even when you're so busy with so many things, you never fail to help your friend and also to give your time in serving the Lord. The time you have sown in His kingdom will reap bountifully! Really appreciate it a lot.. It means very much to me and I know it will not only minister to me but to those who are crying out for His love. Be blessed God's beloved=)

(I encourage you to take your time to listen to the other songs beside her own recordings. They're really nice too;) )

Open the flood gates of Heaven
On New Year’s Day at Ryan’s place during worship, I hear the Lord said this to me many times, “Open the flood gates of heaven”
The next day the first post that I open up to read was from Kok Haw’s blog.
To my surprise, I saw the very words that has been alive in my spirit…
“Malachi 3:10 - And try Me now in this," Says the Lord of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.
(CEV) I am the LORD All-Powerful, and I challenge you to put me to the test. Bring the entire ten percent into the storehouse, so there will be food in my house. Then I will open the windows of heaven and flood you with blessing after blessing.
Wow. How accurate. Little did I remember where this verse came from or even existed but God surely brought all things to remembrance.
Shortly after that. I msg ShinYing this,
01-01-2007 2210 Yest this sentence came to me durin worship…JESUS will open the flood gates of heaven n today I read someone’s blog and is actually from Malachi3:10
She said later that her Cg the night before sang a song that sounded something like this too..Opening Heaven Gates.
With that she gave me Isaiah 54 to read(which was a confirmation to my previous post that Christ is our husband and we are the Bride of Christ) and Kok How’s also put up a verse from Isaiah54:4 about God enlarging our tents.
Yesterday, when Pastor mentioned that this year will be a year of New beginnings and the key to His blessing is when we give him our tithes to him. And to the Jews it meant, Beginning of Redemption of Israel. Everything started to click inside me.
New beginning sounds familiar…I remember telling Shin Ying that Isaiah54 is a picture of the coming New Jerusalem or in my NCV it says, people will return to Jerusalem.
I type in e-sword to search for the word New Jerusalem and only found one verse that speaks of it.
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Bride Of Christ again?Only the day before I opened up my 2001 sermon and the first sermon before my eyes was “A Love Beyond Time Bride Of Christ 21& 22June”same sermon but printed in two copies. It surely was a significant importance for Pastor to do that. Not only that, in the sermon, Pastor mention that the story of God preparing a bride for his son in Gen 24 was one of the longest chapter in Gen with 67verses.Surely the Lord has something for us here.
I encouraged you to listen to them to better understand this typology and the verse in Rev21:2 of what it means a bride prepared for her husband. You’ll also better understand the picture Pastor gave on Bride of Christ too in bs on Joseph’s life.
But as I was pondering over this two verses,…”Open Windows of Heaven and pour out His blessing with the New Jerusalem coming down from heaven…”
He told me this, the key to unlock the windows of heaven is first to bring your tithe before Him and then He will open up heaven for the New Jerusalem blessing in Isaiah54 to come upon you. This blessings only comes to those who receives Him as your Saviour, as your Husband(Isaiah54:5). Just as when Rebekah(bride of Christ, the church) was married to Isaac(Jesus in Gen24) she was given 10 camels(a picture of prosperity in their time). If she would have rejected Isaac(Jesus)she’ll not be walking away with the gifts and the family will not receive it too. That’s a picture of prosperity overflowing to your family when you receive Jesus just as Pastor had preached. After she accepted Isaac, she receives an over provision of it!
Come to God with your tithe and unlock the windows of heaven that He may pour forth His blessings on you.
Gina prayed for her friend, and God prospered her exceedingly more than she ask or THINK=)
God is really so exciting!Hee~ I’m beginning to talk and sound like my youths=)Just love them.
Yesterday Gina, one of our Mighty Man in DARE came up to me and said this, “What you wrote about Job praying for his frens and receiving a double portion really works!….My dad strike a lottery and won ....!”
I almost fainted at the figure. I didn’t expect it to be so big before she told me the amount. If you’re wondering whether it’s ok to buy lotteries…hmm, I guess it’s not for me to answer and that Jesus knows best. Maybe His goodness will draw them to repentance…who knows?=)Everything for His good will.
She was sharing to me about her dad who’s always been busy at work and would sometimes miss church. Last Sunday, Gina persuaded her daddy to go and he went.
It was after service, she came running to me to pass me my Christmas gift and it was a red earring=)The amazing thing was she bought the earring in mind to match my fav red top that she likes too, and I so happen to be wearing it on Sunday(picture attached) So she exchanged my old with the new ones then. It’s really beautiful. I would tell her that her earrings really made me look pretty. Hee~but you know what she’ll tell me…”No, it’s you who made the earrings look good” Wow that’s really a revelation to me.Hee~
She later told me that she was so touched by the post I wrote about Job praying for his frens and he receive back all that he lost and double the amount. It made her want to go up to her frens and ask if they needed prayers..
And there I was in front of her I said, “You didn’t ask me?”=)
“Oh can I pray for you”
I then shared to her about my prayer need that I might not be able to stay here if I didn’t get a permit and would not be able to serve in DARE. She firmly held on to both my hands, bowed her heads and told Daddy God.
Thanks Gina. It was so precious and I knew then that Abba has answered because you prayed=)
I still remember vividly what she told me before Kaddy toke her away from our long session of chatting to go for lunch. Hee~
”Daddy God will make you stay in Singapore because He knows that I love you”
”Daddy God will make you stay in Singapore because He knows that I love you”
You’re one of the reason too that made me want to stay here=)
That night, she when home to receive the good news that the dad has won a lottery. She was so overjoyed because she has been eyeing on some Mango clothing and accessories. Her dad blessed her bro and her with a huge amount of money. Little did she expect it to be so big. She had hope for more money but our God always over provides for us.
I truly believe that Jesus saw Gina’s heart. A heart so willing to give. The seeds that you have sown into people’s lives thru the many gifts during Christmas are a witness that Jesus lives. And because you have honored him, He is able to give you much more so that people around you will see that you have a good God!
Not only that, my situation has turned somewhat better and beginning to look brighter.
Not fully, but it’ll be, amen?=)
Gina, you’ve always been a blessing to me since the first time I met you in the lift. It was so coincidental that it was our first leader’s meeting.Hee~ You’re a very dearly love gal and surely the Lord has crown you with much favor. The hunger you have for the Word will carry you in times of difficulty and much more than that, river of living waters will flow to those who thirst. You are His living testimony! Love ya=D

His desire is toward me
I was having a conversation with two dear sisters of mine one day when one of them mentioned to me a verse a Coach from campus gave her.
Gen 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
What do you understand from this simple verse? It was a curse given to all women after Eve ate the forbidden fruit.
What was the curse?
It was that she would experience great pain when she gives birth.
Have you realized that there was another curse given to her following that?
“..and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.”
A desire for her husband being a curse??My other fren turned to me confused as I was and commented, “You mean I’m not to desire or like him? What is the difference?”
She then explained to us in terms of gals today desiring idols, or even woman today who would do anything to exchange their love for a man.
But I was still unsettled in my heart. So they gave me an assignment to go home and check out the Hebrew meaning for the word desire=)
We all know that in the New Covenant, Jesus has borne all our pain and sicknesses on the Cross and that includes labour pain=D
If I do not know this truth given to me, I’ll not experience it. What then is the reverse of the curse “desiring over a husband”?
I looked into the word desire in Strong’s and it simply means a longing after.
This same word is only mentioned three times in the Bible
{(Gen 3:16, 4:7 & Songs 7:10)
{(Gen 3:16, 4:7 & Songs 7:10)
But is only until today as I was reading it, it became clear to me=)
Son 7:10 I am my beloved's, and his desire is toward me.
Do you see it God’s beloved? It is His desire towards the bride=)There’s a reverse in the order! It reminded me then of what I told my fren the other at the table,
“He just told me this, it will be Jesus giving the man to us first, He will look for us the man and it will be his desire for us first”
What a great confirmation to the things spoken to us by the spirit in His Word.
This is the illustration He gave me. In the Bible, the mention of bridegroom or husband usually represents Jesus and we the bride of Christ. Ephesians 5: 25, 26 paint this very clearly,
Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
It was Christ who first woos us to Him. It was Christ who first found us and loved us.
We were the ones who’s lost looking for love in the wrong places, but the Lover found us. He romance us with His words of love. Songs of Solomon is good read on a Beloved romancing His lover=)
To have a consciousness that it’s about His desire for us is prove of a real progress of the condition of the heart. A true sign of maturity.
Look here and see if you spot the difference.
Son 2:16 My beloved is mine, and I am his: he feedeth among the lilies.
Son 6:3 I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.
Son 7:10 I am my beloved's, and his desire is toward me.
She moved from being a possessive person, the beloved only belonging to her to a consciousness that she belongs to him. What is more secure than to know that His love for us is greater than our love for him.
We are bought with a price, and it cause God’s own dear son. Who would auction something that’s not valuable. Not to signify that you are like the object in the auction, but if it cause God SO much to give up His son, it shows how valuable you are to Him.
It's like the writings in John, "I am the one whom Jesus loves" or "I'm God's beloved".
Let his desire first be for you. You are a priceless treasure. Do not desire him and let him rule after you. But first let Abba love you, then you’ll better understand this love.
This is the result of how beautiful when you allow him to first love you,
“… then was I in his eyes as one that found favour”(Songs 8:10)
You will have favour with him!His eyes will be for you=)
Have your love for Jesus grew since the day you accepted him?Are you more in love with Him now?But wasn’t He the one who first found you. Think about it=)But what made you so secure in this, is knowing that it’s not about our love for Him, because our love for him wavers, but knowing about His love for us that never changes!
Christ IS the foundation of a blessed family
It’s been an awesome time these pass two days. Ended 2006 with a message of Rest by Pastor & a time well spent with my close friends. Had a good time of sharing with Wen Jun & Cindy in Coffee Club Taka after service the whole afternoon besides lunching with the SIM cg. I thank God for them. Although we may not have met up as often as we used to, but God has maintained this friendship. So much was accomplished in just a “few” hours of sharing. We went over to Ryan’s place to gather with our ex cg for a time of fellowship & worship. Coincidentally, Elaine happen to be staying below Ryan’s house=)so I stayed over at her place. I found out later too that it was Ryan that first introduced her to NCC.
I stepped into 2007 with greater peace & love in my heart. Thanks to Elaine & her family. You’ve given me so much, a “lesson” and a picture of a house built on God’s love.
It happen when we were having the muffins we baked the other day for breakfast with her sister that early new year’s morning…her mother came up to us and suggested to go to Pulau Ubin to cycle. We all looked at her in disbelief. A look that says, “Are you kidding?”=) I was more tickled by the fact that her mum was more adventurous & energetic than us. But then I thought it was pretty fun too. So we agreed to her calling. Hee~Shortly after that, her adorable p6 sister turned to us & quietly whispered, “I’ve not finish my homework”Hee~
Oh how I love her sister. Just bonded so well with her. Elaine said that she was exceptionally chatty that day because of me. Haha~Her sister Kimberly was telling us the whole day about a bird at the guard house that died bec it fell down after banging itself on the wall.Hehe~My conclusion to the fall was maybe he’s blind?=)The mum said maybe some sand went into the birds eye..Hee~what do you think?=)
We first went over to changi village to have nasi lemak. The mum said it was one of Pastor Prince favourite. We queue so long for it but well it was worth it.
We spent four hours cycling round Pulau Ubin stopping in between to look for crabs & mudskipper(Kimberly’s favourite), trees, mangroves, fishes, …Just come to realize that the main focus for all the stops was the joy that comes from seeing the smile & the excitement on Kimberly’s face when she spotted them. We all gave extra safety & protection for her. Even when we were eating, we made sure she had enough. And when she ate more then us for dinner, we were all so happy for her, more so her parents.
How Daddy God would smile at us when we learn to rest in His protection, when we smile at His discoveries for us, when we yield to what is best for us(Kimberly was complaining about the helmet she had to wear for her safety, but she still obeyed her dad even though she felt uncomfortable in it)
It was one of my best outings and a good beginning for the year. Being with the family gave me such a supernatural peace and love in my heart. It made me want to be the mum in this family, it made see the blessing of a blessed marriage. A one day experience gave me so much. Elaine you’re so blessed to have them around you & I’m more blessed to have known a dear sister like you=)
How much more when you experience this everyday with the family that God is bringing to you. It’ll be a home of love, peace, and safety.
