the power of silence

Mm.Have you ever experience a time when you're so sure that you heard e voice of God or know it in your heart that "that" was God's plan for you. And you get so excited and started sharing it with everyone, but before you share it, you hear a still small voice that calls you to keep it silent....but you just ignored it, rationalizing to yourself..."Wat is so wrong about sharin a God given dream?...And along e way, as you begin to tell more people, & with every person you tell you still hear e same voice tellin you "Hold it there, keep it a secret..."
What happen later?Either your dream was really put on hold until e furor die down? =) or it was withdrawn completely in order to keep the peace.
It happen to me on many occassions & I begin to ask myself can such a thing be God's principle or was it a Law of life?Haha.
And I've found out e answer to this *Law of life* and it's God's Law! His Word. Nothing further from the truth.yup, found this treasure in this book I was reading.Dint wanted to buy it at first.Have been spendin a lot on Christian books plus been financially tight lately. But when pastor preached on sunday, it just change e way I view my circumstances around me. I told God that I'm going to trust Him in this area not lookin at my situation but on wat His Word says. Wat more, this book was e last book someone reserved but gave it up! =) Thanks whoever that is, god will bless you for blessing me & Go get it the next time if its still there! Haha
But sorry guys, dun think I can continue writing...Haha.Not trying to be funny here but I'm really really tired & sleepy :) Just started my first day ICU placement. One of my favourites subject for placement =) I wonder why too?Mm.But things has been good for e first day.Really thank God for his favour and His gift of righteousness.
Will *promise* to write again when I'm free.At e mean time, maybe you could ponder on it for a moment.Have you been there?or is it just *ME* =)

Read on

hello there again =)
Thought of just feeding you guys with some nuggets of God's Word.Been truly blessed myself each time i type.Although they are sermons preached by pastor & not of my own revelation, but God's word will always be edifying & He simply love to bless us each time we feed on it.
A brother in Christ wrote this to me once & I've been really blessed by it. Thought that it might bless you guys too by reading it :)
Just wanted to remind you that as you type these great notes out - receive from them as well. Make those revelations yours! Take time to look up the verses, chew on them. Let Christ in you, the greatest Teacher of all teach you. And be ready to add to what you type, because He is teaching others through you as well. Don't be afraid to add or make mistakes. "If only the will to walk is there, God is pleased even with our stumbles." You can only bless when you have been blessed - as you have freely received, so (then) freely give. He first blessed, makes us great, then we are a blessing - that's the promise made to Abraham =)So expect to sow, but before that expect to be greatly blessed by these anointed messages, and receive their fullness! =) Let your fingers prophesy edification, exhortation and comfort to all who read! Amen.
Really beautiful.Been feeding on it myself.Heh.yea, so expect from God to bless u as well!

Turning your evil day into day of gladness
There is only one evil day(but that doesn't necessarily refer to an 24-hour day) but there are many good days.
Ephesians 6:13 Put on the armour of God so that you can stand in the evil day.
The evil day can turn around./ God always foresees your needs and preplanned the answers.
Illustrations: Abraham & Isaac - as they were ascending e mountain, God already sent a ram up e other side of e mountain, to meet their requirements for a sacrifice to the Lord.
In e end times, they will be rising up of the Benjamin company ie. A Grace generation.
Cf.Revelation : Where e Lamb appeared with 7 horns
Lamb : Jesus ; 7 : perfect ; Horns : authority
John heard a voice from behind : John heard Jesus's voice -> prophecy for our generation. We look back at the Cross -> it is finished -> grace dispensation
Cf. Ezekiel - cross on forehead - signifies no evil
Cf. Joseph's brother, Benjamin - was a "grace" person - the first time Joseph saw Benjamin (in Genesis:29), he said " God be gracious to you, my son". Joseph gave 5 portions of clothes/food to benjamin. 5 is e number of grace.
God's name in Hebrew : (read backwards direction, right to left) Hei Vav Hei Yud. Represented by individual characters in Hebrew. In e English alphabet, A is for apple, B is for boy, C is....;in e Hebrew alphabet
Hei:nail/hook
Vav: window/picture
Yud : hand
->look at e open hand, look at e nail. Who is there Jesus!
(Wow. As I was typin this, i realised that it was not e name Jesus name that was written with nail/hand(which i thought so), its actually in general e name God it self!.Mm.hope u know wat i mean.Heh.Oh well, u might have even thought so before me =) it's ok...)
Hei - pronunciation - God's breath - God breathes into you.
Cf Abram -> Abraham , Sarai -> Sarah
Lesson from Story of Esther
In Esther 1, e king chose the 13th day to kill e Jews. 13 is an evil number, a number of rebellion. Haman was an evil man. Mordecai was a type of Christ/the hero in e story.
You cannot find God's name explicitly in e book of Esther, yet we see Him working in e book.
Cf.Deuteronomy - when people didnt receive from God, the truth's of God's word, God will hide His face.
God's name is hidden, in code form, evident only in Hebrew version of e text.
       1.Esther 1:20
  • King issues an edict that all wives must obey their husbands.
  • Vashti - not becoming a queen, so that God can position Esther as queen.
  • Here, God's name appear backwards.
  • Signifies: God overruling circumstances in 1:20
      2. Esther 5:4
  • Esther inviting the King, and Haman to her banquet.
  • God's name appear in forward movement
     3. Esther 5:13
  • Haman saw Mordecai sitting. The devil hates you sitting, resting in e finished work.
  • haman's bitterness overturned against himself.
  • God's name appears backward -> signifies God's overruling evil.
    4. Esther 7:7
  • When e King got angry, and Haman begged Queen Esther for mercy.
  • God's name appears in forward movement
  • signifies -> God ruling in favour of His people.
   5. Esther 7:5
  • God's name appears as (read from left to right) "Hei Yud Hei Aleph" which means "I am that I am"
  • God's name is in e forward movement
  • God is our very present times of trouble. God wants to turn your evil days into good days.
It doesn't matter if e enemies plan bad things against you, God will overrule them!

Can u drink e cup?

As I was in e bus reading this book my fren handed to me a few days back(thanks fren, =)),there was this portion which really spoke to me a lot. It reminded me of my last placement to which i went to in a nursing home.

In this home, most of e people you'll meet are mostly e ones who are left to care for themselves. They are either left alone with no family members, or even if they had, their "close ones" were either too busy or found em to burdensome to care for.
The "lucky" ones get themselves a second home here, wherelse e ones who do not qualify here...god knows where they are(not to be rude here, but it's e reality) but you'll be sure to find some of em around Mc Donalds/eating place serving you/helping you to clear e leftover/mess you've made just for e sole purpose of finding a living.Wats amazing about em is they're always willing to smile/respond back if we had. A desire to be accepted/loved.The irony is we feel accepted/loved in return. They'll never have/reach an age which is too "old" for em to work.

But wat really struck me was, most of e ones i've had a chance to be with would ask question like "So, when will you be leaving"..."5 weeks?"

Then proceed on to "So, you coming back to look for us"..."erm, maybe??...would luv to...if I'm free?"

"Why do everyone have to leave after we've got to know them, esp e nurses"...

This book has helped me to look at it from a whole new perspective.Never have I had seen it this way.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The title "Can You Drink The Cup" by Henri J. M. Nouwen(awesome writer).
"...This little book was written during e first few months of my sabbatical year, a year that l'Arche Daybreak gave me for my writing." :

Gordie Henry, who was a Down Syndrome, is one of e core members of e Daybreak community.

Once he said to me, "What is good about life is that you make so many friends. What is hard about life is that so many friends leave."

With this simple observation Gordie touched the place where joy and sorrow are embracing each other. As a long time member of daybreak, Gordie has many assistants come to live with him. They came from various countries, sometimes for a sumer, sometimes for a year, sometimes for many years. They all loved Gordie very much, and Gordie came to love them. Strong attachments and deep bonds of friendship developed.

But sooner or later, the assistants had to leave. Some got married, some returned to school, some lost their work permits, some looked for a new direction in life, and some discovered that community life wasn't for them. Gordie, however, stayed, and felt the intense pain of many separations.

One day, Jean Vanier, the founder of l'Arche, came to visit Daybreak. He gathered the whole community around him and said, "What questions would you most like to ask me!"Thelus one of the core members who had lived at Daybreak as long as Gordie, raised her hand and said : "Why are people leaving all the time?" Jean understood this question was not just Thelus' question but also Gordie's question and the question of all long-term Daybreak members.

He gently moved closer to her and said : "You know, Thelus, that is the most important question you can ask. Because you and many others want to make Daybreak your home, where you can feel well loved and well protected. What then does it mean when so often someone you love, and who loves you, leaves your home, sometimes for good? Why then do you have to suffer the pain of so many departures? It may feel as if people do not really love you! Because if they love you why would they leave you?"

As he was speaking, everyone looked at him very attentively. They knew this man truly understood their pain and sincerely cared for them. They wanted to hear what he had to say. With great gentleness and compassion, jean looked at everyone who was listening and said :

"You know your joy and your pain give you a mission. Those who came to live with you, from whom you received much and to whom you gave much, aren't just leaving you. You are sending them back to their schools, their homes, and their families, to bring some of the love they have lived with you. It's hard. It's painful to let them go. But when you realise that this is a mission, you will be able to send your friends to continue their journeys without losing the joy they brought you."

These simple words enter deep into our hearts because they made us look differently at what seemed such a harsh tearing apart. The cup of joy and sorrow had become the cup of salvation.

Drinking the cup of sorrow and joy is only possible when it bring us health, strength, freedom, hope, courage - new life. Nobody will drink the cup of life when it makes us sick and miserable. We can only drink it when it is a cup of salvation.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So beautifully written.
I love e part when it says "You are sending them back to their schools, their homes, and their families, to bring some of the love they have lived with you."
I've been there before. I've felt wat they might have even felt more deeply than I do. The hurt of separation. Some held their tears, knowing that they had to be strong inwardly...separation like this is common to many but it still hurts. But they have given me so much more. The inner joy that can only be filled if there's an empty cup, and it's their life.

Oneday, I hope that I'll be able to share this wonderful story with em.
A story of hope & of love-to let them know that they have a mission too.(",)

Peace

But e counselor, e Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give you as e world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14 :26-27

God wants you to focus on Jesus's light. The holy spirit wants you to be Jesus-focused.(whilst e Devil wants you to be focused on yourself)

Your true self is in Christ.
The Holy Spirit teaches you ALL things.

We feel good/young/without blemish -> because of Jesus's work on e Cross; grace & peace is multiplied in our lives.

Colossians 3:15
let e peace of Jesus rule(make all decisions) in your heart.

("rule" - Greek word : umpire)

Peace : Shalom - Jesus's very own peace, bequeathed to us by Jesus.
"Shalom" in e sense refers to e welfare, health, prosperity, peace ->everything intact

A state of health & well-being. God wants you to be in a state of perpetual state of Shalom, on e inside as well on e outside. The devil on e other hand wants to disturb that peace.

Cf.Isaiah 57:19 - "Peace, peace to those far & near,"says e Lord. "And I will heal them" -> when you confess "Peace, peace/shalom, shalom" the Lord will heal you.

Grace & peace go together : Romans 1
Grace can be multiplied. The favour of God can be multiplied in your life by you knowing God -> the more you know Jesus, e more e favour of God is in your life.

All believers have this peace. It's a matter of how to multiply it.]

On our part :
"Let not your hearts be troubled" - otherwise, you're insulting e inheritance of Jesus.
It's an injunction of love, because God loves you very much.
Then you'll walk in health, prosperity & peace.

Grace gave you everything from Heaven. Peace will retain it.

Cf. e bleeding woman
When Jesus said "Go in peace & be healed of your affliction", Jesus meant " Go into peace/go into shalom & continue to be well" - divine health

Shalom means "it's going to be alrite"/all is well with my soul
Devil-agitates your emotions, troubles your mind, cannot mange a peaceful Christian;
The devil is restless(cf.parable of restless evil spirit going out to dry & arid place)

If you don't let your hearts be troubled, if it's a miracle you need, you'll get it.

"Disease" - means "dis-ease" - troubled in heart : therefore, don't let your heart be troubled on e inside & e Lord will take care of things/matters on e outside.

Proverbs 4 : 20-23
Above all else, guarding your heart, for it affects everything you do.( it is e well spring of life/for out of it are e issues of life)

The quality of life is wat you believe in your heart.

A tranquil heart is e life of e body(Proverbs 14:30)

The peace of Jesus is rugged, not affected by world circumstances.

Peter was always troubled before;yet, he was able to sleep e nite before his execution.

2 Kings 4 : 20-26
Mother said "Shalom" - ie. It's going to be alrite/well/ Everything is going to be alrite.

1 Peter 3: 11
Let him seek peace & ensue it.(KJV)/ He must seek peace & pursue it.(NIV)

Then you'll enjoy life!

God respect you when you respect His son/what his son did. God is impressed with His son, not with your self-consciousness. Jesus is e Lamb of God, perfect, beautiful.

A greek scholar once said, peace is e result of forgiveness & joy. This is spiritually supported in John 20:19-23:
Peace -> through e work of e Lord - ie. Revelation of e perfection of Jesus's work on e Cross.

Forgiveness -> Jesus's wounds

Joy -> when e disciples saw Jesus(ie. Joy comes thru e person of e Lord)

And with that, He breathed on them & said, "Receive e Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.

->explanation of this verse : releasing of e sins of your enemies, in order not to retain their sins in your body. The power given to us is not to retain sins but to release sins.

->also includes forgiving yourself of any sins that you feel guilty of. many of us are in an internal war.

Don't allow anyone to use guilt against you.

Grace & peace be with you all! =)

Resting in the finished work

This is a pretty long one =)
But it's really good about knowing God's principle on rest...& why he wants us to do just that.
Its because our daddy in heaven loves U so much that it hurts Him to see his children so stress up!heh
relax...& enjoy reading =) you're be blessed!

What Rest is:
->refers to directed activity, not inactivity
->sharp discernment

Psalm 91->is a reality for us. We are there already, seated with Christ in the place of protection and provision.

Work unto the Lord=worship
->and you'll get your reward/inheritance
(if you work for money, you become under the curse)

The New covenant is about the forgiveness of sins. If you don't believe that you are forgiven, you're not walking under the New Covenant.

The gospel is about the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus

You cannot finish a finished work.

Moses said "Stand still and see..."
Give thanks & then you'll get your revelation.
Therefore, pray"Father, thank you that I am HEALED."

God's way are ways of rest...
"Now we who have believed enter the rest, just as God has said,
"So I declare an oath in my anger 'They shall never enter
my rest'."
And yet his work has been finished since the creation of the
world"
Hebrew 4:3

Grace=God is working & doing something.
His ability is beyond ours.
So when we pray, believe that he has answered you!

For e New covenant child when you let go->God takes over
Therefore say, "I am not going to have [it]. but I have it",
even if nothing seems to be working ie, symptoms in our bodies, home..etc
Illustration : Christ cursed the fig tree - it died at e root, but it only became evident the next day.

Cf Joseph - saw God working all the time. He didn't see e dungeon, or the lies of Potiphor's wife, etc. Joseph was on his way to palace, and e dungeon was a place for him to prepare himself.

stress in work=curse
Cf. Jesus prayed in garden Gethsemane, Jesus was so stressed. He prayed so hard that he sweated, his capillaries burst & he sweated blood.
By his blood we are redeemed.
We become redeem from sweat, because sweat has been mixed with the blood of Jesus.

How much you enjoy what Jesus has done, depends on how much you rest in what He has done.

See John 20: 11-17
Upon Jesus's resurrection :
Mary Magdalene saw 2 angels seated in the tomb in the Garden.
(this is e first time we see angels seated in the Bible, which is the expression of rest, in e finished work)
->with similar allusion to e mercy seat in e Ark of e Covenant in OT

Old test...
In e Bible, every 7th year, e land rests, then God will command blessings.
However, in 2 Chronicles 36 :20-21 Israel refused to let e land rest(70years)

Parallels in our lives : we have a tendency not wanting to rest
//trying to prize open a flower bud->you're end up killing it!
The best way is to let it blossom naturally.

Why is God so picky about rest/7th year?
=> in e 7th year, the rest causes the nutrients to rejuvenate,
& e following year you'll get a bumper crop

See Leviticus 25 :1-4, 8-9
In the 50th year : Jubilee year(7x7=49years) -> double portion
Significance : everyone is restored to e original position.
every slave is set free
every debt is canceled
No more liabilities

Jesus - begin his ministry in e 7th year of rest
-preached on Sabbath Day
-the true Jubilee->healing e broken hearted
-rode on donkey -> final Sabbath day before he was crucified.
Jesus wept because Israel did not see him.
"How I wish I could gather them under my wings"
(picture of e Ark of Covenant -> secret place of e Most High.
There is healing in his wings.)
=We have Jesus, the true Jubilee. Sound the trumpet of Jubilee.

God made man on e 6th day, last, so that man will enjoy everything.
Man had nothing to do except to enjoy what God has created, on e 7th day.
the 1st temptation->was to try to become like God
->to move Man from rest, by bringing insecurities
in their heart.

Psalm 110:1
"Sit on my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet"
Significance : rest first, and the enemies(problem such as sickness, symptoms, loved ones who haven't accepted Christ as Lord and Saviour yet, etc. will be place at your feet, put under you!

In e midst of your troubles, enemies/debt/other problem...God will make these troubles a footstool for your feet.
Take faith to have this kind of attitude.

Unless you are seated well, you cant walk in victory. God wants us seated, in a position of rest.

When you rest, the devil/enemy is defeated(& e devil hates that)

We may always try to settle e problem first, and then rest.
However, where God is concerned, it's e other way round.

Rest first, and He will settle e problem for u!

Feeling Guilty

A more subtle form of righteousness is guilt, because guilt means that you're still looking at your own actions, which is e devil's form of distraction.
We feel guilty because we are focusing on our own actions.

Therefore, when you sin, look to the Cross instead. Where God has forgiven you all trespasses, you can forgive yourself. Where you have unresolved guilt, you must apply God's forgiveness of sins to your personal life.

Jesus has qualified you. True holiness comes when our hearts are secure. True holiness is of the heart(because christianity is a heart thing).

Grace: cannot be earned. It is uneased and undeserved favour from God. The only way to lose grace is to try to earn it.

Forgiveness:
- see Hebrew 9:22 - without shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness
- confession cannot earn forgiveness(confession is an act of earning). Forgiveness is to be given by the offended party. The offender cannot earn it.
- see 1 John 1:9 never build a doctrine based on one verse

See also : John 8 - stoning of the prostitute incident
Jesus stooped down to write on the ground : //10 Commandments
Jesus stood up: // resurrection
Jesus said to the woman : "Neither do I condemn you"

When sin abound, grace abound much more

Sin : human Grace : divine/infinite/God

Romans 4:16
Therefore the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be by grace and may be guaranteed [KJV : might be sure] to all Abraham's offspring...

The promise of God is sure/guaranteed.

Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved, through your faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.

Faith

Hebrews 11:1
"Now faith is being sure what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."

Faith is like an eye. An eye doesn't look at itself. Like wise, you're not supposed to be focused on your faith. True faith is unconscious of itself.

Cf. Syrophonecian woman; Roman Centurion

->Your faith is like a window. Don't focus on your faith.Focus instead on the light on the outside.
The window does not create the light. The light is always shining outside. The light shines thru the window. The amount of light that is allowed to flow in through he window depends on the size of the window. The size of the window is like the size of your faith. The greater your faith, the bigger the size of the window, and more light can shine through.

Faith comes by listening to the preacher/listening to the Good News - see Romans 10:17 :
"Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ"

"Whenever anyone look at Me and sees my Grace, I look at them and see their Faith"

Salvation : Law vs. Grace - a Warfare of Faith

Romans 1 :16-17 : "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth..."(KJ version)

Gospel means Good News : If you're a believer, you're forgiven (there is no such thing as an "unforgiven believer"). A believer's whole life is forgiven (see Colossians - having forgiven you all trespasses)

Power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes (NiV)

Salvation=not limited to escape from hell
Also includes escape from hell on earth
Salvation comes from the Greek word, "sozo"=save-rescue from danger of every sort, includes healing
->"sozo" = wholeness-health, prosperity, deliverance, preservation, protection, rescue,

"Sozo" is a very rich word.

Christ gives to us a finished work : cf.Hebrew 12 : land flowing with milk and honey - our Heavenly Father has defeated the devil
- we are not in a warfare with the devil because the war is already won by Christ
- the only fight is the fight of faith => i.e do you believe of not?

Repentance : comes from the Greek word "metanoia" (related to "sozo") - which means changing your mind to "Christ has done it" rather than "I cannot do it". Changing of your mind to believing that your sins have been washed away by Jesus's blood on the Cross.

Galations 4
Sarah -> Grace
- didnt produce immediately but by the promise(not by self-effort)-slow-takes time to grow -> real growth is from within
- Isaac - born of Sarah - a free woman
- Isaac's name means laughter -> freedom
-God sees us as perfect; god sees us as Christ : Christ died for me on the Cross. Today, I walk as Christ
-whilst you are barred(in terms of finance, children, etc.), it is the time to rejoice because you have got it all (healing, prosperity, everything is yours) in Christ we have everything!

->Everything we want, we will have. Whilst we are still barren, we are to rejoice.
"Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you."

Hagar -> Law- condemnation(Mt Sinai) -> Bondage

(incidently, there is no mention in the Bible that Haga was pretty, whereas Sarah was beautiful, even at the age of 90. Sarah was so beautiful that ven a king with a harem of woman wanted to have her in her old age!)

cf.v.4 - Paul challenged the christians who wanted to be under the Law

flesh : self effort - Ismael

-God said to cast out the slave woman

Abraham : justified by faith

New wineskin : new wine - will ferment in the Old wineskin (very brittle), causing the old wineskin to burst -> then you'll lose both the old wineskin and the new wine

//attempting to keep both law and grace amounts to spiritual adultery
Explanation : after being saved by Grace, you return to trying to keep the Law, being legalistic, etc

Cf.Genesis 21 : 8-10 when Sarah's son, Isaac was weaned, Ishmael made fun of him

Salvation : Heirship : on what grounds do we inherit the Kingdom of God?

Under the law?: "if you will, God will".

But under Grace : Jesus has done it -> you respond with faith

Therefore we must be careful/wary of legalistic Christian because legalistic thinking threatens our heirship : if we're under the Law, we Don't get the blessings of the Lord.

Cf. Prodigal son : blessed even though he sinned (vs.his brother - who tried to earn his father's blessing but ended up like a servant)

Before "wean":unskilled/babies

"wean" : solid food -> matured Christian -> that's when persecution starts

Hebrews 5:13
For the Christian, the work is done : Jesus has done it, ie,healing, etc. God has healed you already.

All I ever wanted...He gives.

hey,
I've received something really precious...
My owner handed me a collection of Pastor Prince messages all in notes form! & it's so beautifully done up.luv it.
This fren of his would attend both e service & BS....and each time when he gets home he would compile em accordingly...so that it doesnt repeat.
Honestly I've tried to jot down as much as I could but after awhile I stop(thinking that I could also buy e tape instead.hehe) & sometimes I find myself going back into notes form again.hehe....i'm sure u guys have been there too =) or is just me...

Since it has blessed me so much, I know that you're goin to be blessed reading it too.
So I've decided to type em out, maybe a few each day...see la when I'm free.
it's going to be long...u can choose to read it or not=)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Principles of living under Grace: The treasures that you're entitled to have because of Jesus

Your body is the temple of the Lord, so respect it. You're entitled to good things because of Jesus. Therefore, remember the following inter-related Christ centered principles and put them into practise in your life, so that they become second nature to you.

1. Peace-Shalom-know the rich meaning of it(its inheritance that Jesus left to us.

2. Forgiveness-know that you have it-salvation=sozo-know the rich meaning of it.
Be righteous-conscious, instead of sin-conscious. You are righteous in Christ: the more righteous-conscious you are, the more you will produce Christ-like traits/fruit of the Holy spirit. Therefore, focus on Christ.

3. LIve a stress-free/worry-free life-kills off psychposomatic illnesses(the root cause of many illnesses.

4. You are entitled to a life of abundance(Jesus said so himself)-(but rememeber that the love of money is the root of all evil. Put Jesus first in your life and don't be conned by the "Prosperity Gospel"; the abundant life is not about being greedy and materialistic.

5. Health-you are healed(give no heed to any symptoms - the disease has been dealtt with at the root). Healing and wholeness is your blood bought right (Jesus paid this by taking your disease on the Cross.)

6. You are living in the Third Day - realize the significance of it : longevity, good health and wholeness, prosperity, favour, deliverance.
(NB : To be prosperous doesn't mean becoming greedy, materialistic and selfish. See Psalm 62:10 - though your riches increase, don't set your heart upon them)

7. Rest - Christ has already completed the work at the cross; therefore, don't slog and slave for a finished work (but of course, this doesn't mean that you regress and become a useless bum.)

8. God cannot help those who don't depend on Him.
To be saved = having the Life of Jesus in you. Expect God to work in your Life, actively.

When I rise

When I rise
full of love
for life and laughter
and the me that I am
love will meet me...

when I rise above my own neediness
fears
and frustrated tears
and allowed myself to be warmed by the Son
love will shine on me...

When I rise
past prayerlessness
desperate hopes
sleepless nights
and wondering why I'm alone
love will wrap me in its arms...

when I rise
beyond sacrificing who I am
mistreating my heart
and giving my affections
too freely to the ungrateful...

when I rise
above
accepting scraps
when i crave for a whole slice of cake
reaching for carrots
that are merely mirages of together forever accepting another's rejection
as validation of my undesirability...

when I rise
oh when I rise above it all
my wings will carry me
to a place called faith and deliverance
a place where
the lies whispered in the dark
must flee
in the face of such intense light...

for this is place
where God is
and love dwells
for God and love are the same...
and as I rise even higher
chains snapping from my heart
my mind
my soul
I soar even higher
carried on the wings of love itself...

yes I rise
and love kisses me deeply
ever so sweetly
and whispers
I'm home...
