Last Wednesday, Lydia & I finally decided to go ahead with wat we always have in mind but never purpose it.Hee-To walk from Sengkang to East Coast.Hee~yea yea.I know wat some of you guys might be thinkin....jacq walk?...i get comments like..."Lydia can...but you...Hee..."I've prove you guys wrong!Haha. We made it! Thanks Lydia for leading the way...I'm so proud of you & myself too =)
It brings me to think about that day to East Coast & what a perfect picture it is our walk with God. He takes us to places we'll never be able to make it ourself. He gives us space to stand on our own & assures us that we can do what He's called us to. Then He assure us to trust Him as He takes our hand & leads us further out, to places we couldn't navigate without Him. He stays close, whispers encouragement and never give up on us.And even if we fail, He's right there to pick us up again, leading us back.
We all have our set of journey we're taking. Each one different from others. To some it's has been exhilarating, exciting, or even terrifying?Hee~I certainly have my share too. But when walked with Jesus, life takes a different perspective...
Christian life is a walk of faith.God has shown me in my deepest times that it is not about asking Him "Why this or that happen to me? but rather ask myself "Does this bring me to a greater level of faith, a greater level of trust, greater purity, greater courage, greater humility, greater patience & self control? Many times I really wish I dun have to go thru all this, but He assures me that all this is necessary for our growth. He never say that life is empty of heartaches, but He did promise that He'll bring us THRU out trials. His joy will be our strength! He will never leave us nor forsake us.
Along e way, we may even feel like giving up/giving in to life challenges that come along the way, we doubt His love for us, we feel "dry" ,we lost the first love. We really wish we could turn back & take e easier route but we know that it's not e best way...so wat we may say?Life is already so hard on me.We cry because it hurts so much...hoping that it will ease the pain. But Jesus says He has overcome the World.Greater is He that is in you that is in the world. He is your strength. He loves you. He cares for you...You know it, but you dun feel it...
I've been there.Whenever I feel I have left e sense of belovedness in me, I get into reading His Word over and over again until I sense His peace in me.A sense of knowing that ALL will be well.
This is something beautiful I read which holds dear to me:
God's omnipresence and the manifestation of His presence are two different things. One is a fact, the other is often a feeling. Yes, He wants you to sense His presence, but He's more concerned that you trust Him than you feel Him. Faith, not feelings, pleases God. He is good, He loves me, He is with me, He knows what I going through, He cares and He has good plans for my life - never doubt in the dark what God has told you in the light. Trust God to keep His promises, don't trust your emotions, and realize He is taking you to a deeper level of maturity. A friendship based on emotion is shallow indeed. So don't be troubled by trouble. Circumstances cannot change the character of God. God's grace is still in full force. If God never did anything more for me, He would still deserve our continual praise because of what Jesus did on the cross. God's Son died for us! That alone is worthy of my continual praise and thanks. Amen.
Besides giving us constant encouragement through His written words and unfailing presence, He sends it through someone like you or me =)
All or us have a prince/princesses beauty in us waiting to be revealed. As God Himself lifts us up and sends encourager into our lives, we too can be the encourager He sends to others when we take a little time to share ourselves, when we believe in others and cheer them on, we deposit something in their lives that can never be measured.
It's amazing how alive you will feel when you abandon your comfort zone. You will also find a sense of accomplishment rising on the inside when you know that Christ love has been deposited to your love ones. Even more so when you witness Christ miracle working power in their life & they start sharing it with others. You will have a fabulous glow that others will notice. That is the JOY of the Lord. This Joy also comes when we lavish our love on the one that loves us most!
Know too that you're specially fashion by Him & that you're walking in His divine purpose and all is in order. That you are doing your best with the life that you've been served.
Dare to journey, to venture, to love, to give, to serve to empty yourself just as Christ did for us.
Trust Him with the season of your life.
Everything in life is temporary except His awesome love for us. It is one thing that will never lose its luster.
Grace be with you all, beloved!
