I've been pondering on this topic "Voice of God" a lil more these days...or maybe because I've been handed a book written by Jack Deere, Suprised by the Voice of God.Or maybe He wanted me to know it all this while so the book was just one of the means He uses.Whatever it is, I now have a deeper understanding of it from the bible point of view, people's experiences and of course my own as well =)
I will not be touching on the content of the book.It's relatively thick.Everything seems so good & vital. So it would be too much to write down & too little to be taken out.Interested? Grab hold of it.It's worth every penny =)

I read this recently..."I asked for the only malay tester on the list.. and i somehow had the impression i would get him.. and i did! Not only that, i felt his hand upon me.. "...
So often we said we felt impressed that something will happen, we sometimes even feel impress to do something or even to call someone.Just the other day I'm reminded of Perryn =) Recently, she's been a lil quiet in multiply.The next thing I know, she wrote in an entry.The one on the malay tester above.
I dunno about you...but sometimes w this impression there is this still small voice. It seems like there's a another person speaking to you...just talking to you like a fren.You thought you had made it up.Maybe it was just you impersonating.
Many times this fren of mine impress verses in my heart or to look up a particular verse.And many times this verses just happen to POP up in the next paragraph/page in the book i'm reading.Coincidental??Mmm.But it's been happening a lot these days.luck?certainly not.This experiences can be quite scary at times that I would shut my book.Hee~
For mandy, in reply to my latest entry, she said all this seems so creepy/awesome.

Why I am I telling you all this?
Because I want you to know that it wasn't you impersonating or making it up.It wasn't something coincidental but God-incidental.It was the Holy Spirit in you the moment you receive Jesus as your Abba Daddy.The day when the altar call was made and you simply toke the step of faith.No turning back.But ever since then, you never regretted it.People saw the change in you.They question your salvation, "How sure do you know you've been saved". The answer would simply be you just know it because He has send the Comforter to abide in you.He's ALIVE in you today.You're both been good frens ever since and you simply trusted Him =)
I will not be sharing with you the how to in hearing His voice but just my experiences...maybe from there you could relate it to your own.

Why do God seems to be giving me confirmation each time after he impress something in my heart?It's nice.But why.Does that make Him look bigger.certainly not.I thought about this many times.
Now I understand the why behind it.
Imagine if He would to impress something in my heart and there was no what so ever confirmation given to me-be it His Word, or even thru you or someone else,
I would have taken it as coming from my own emotions or maybe my own thoughts.I will not be sure because I'm not naturally born to discern the things of spirit and of myself.Therefore I may be wrong sometimes.it's like training our mind to be renewed to the things of God. Now it's the spirit.
Looking back at the numerous times he confirms His Word to me,
My spirit has been trained to know which is of the spirit & of my emotions.
It seems he's telling me this..."If I would to impress you a certain verse or situation to pray for B, you will not be afraid to speak it out bec you already know how I speak."A deep sense of knowing that it's from Him.
Thereafter, I felt impress to ask Lydia to pray for me without me having to tell her what to pray for.I told her not to follow her natural senses but by the spirit in her.It was a prayer need I had not share to anyone before.And it was my first time ever doing such thing.
Following that,e next paragraph that I read in Jack Deere book he shared his first experience he had when he ask his home group to pray and hear what God has to say for the people in the group & say it out.And e ones that spoke it out were all accurate!
Here's what he(Jack Deere) said:
"...I did something I had never done before.I told them that God is going to speak like that to us like that, now...He will give us impressions visions that will show us how to pray for people in our group.I encouraged everyone not be afraid of failing and looking foolish.The only way to find out the difference between an impression from the Lord and one coming from our own emotions would be to test our impression or vision in front of the whole group and risk looking foolish if we were wrong"

Jac did you ask me to pray for you? I feel quite blur coz i can't find your messege at the moment. But I know I read it yesterday and prayed on the spot(last night at about 12.40am arh..!!). You told me not to go by the natural but by the spirit. And if wrong, nevermind. Heh heh. Very pressurising, you know? The one I got for *** is only like... my first of such encounter.
Anw, whether it's gonna help or not, here was what came to me:
I was like, "God this is so pressurising. How? What now?" Anw, I just went ahead and prayed in tongues. Then pray, pray, pray... still like... hm... ok... I even went to the washroom and speak in tongues continuously. Kay, yes I know that's not of your concern. So I returned to my room, set on my bed and ponder on what you said, "Dun go by the natural". Something like that and a sudden thought POPed in my head, "Where the spirit is, there is LIBERTY." I went to check up the verses with "liberty" and was pretty attracted to the first one I found(Dunno if it's purely out of curiosity or what) but was LAZY(yes lazy) to read up the chapter. Anyway the title stated for that section which contained the verse was, "The Year of Jubilee". I moved on to praying in tongues again hoping for some verse. Ever since the previous incident, I've been treating this kind of stuff like some toto session. The book of Timothy came to mind. Then it was "Timothy 4:1". Before I got off my bed(yes my bed again) I was prompted with, "1 Timothy or 2 Timothy?", by my spirit or myself(I dunno). So I felt like I was suppose to CHOOSE... Immediately I told myself, "2nd". So I looked up 2 Timothy 4:1. And I read the following verses too.
(oH MAN! Jac you won't believe what just happened. I went to www.heartlight.com and wanted to get that 2 Tim verse so as to conveniently copy-and-paste to this window for you to read. I clicked what I would always click and it brought me to a page with a passage entitled, "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, There is Freedom!" I almost could not catch my breath. Never had "a passage" displayed whenever I click what I would ALWAYS click. Right now arh, I'm trying to figure out how I ended up there. I clicked the "back" button and click the usual way. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| Ok. I just realised that SOMEHOW... my finger pull the page slightly down and clicked wrongly. Clicked on a passage accidentally. I did not even know it was there! Wah... I almost could not catch my breath when i saw that title.)
I suggest that you read 2 Timothy 4:1 all the way to verse 18 yourself! NOW! On the double!

...you know, today is my e first time after so long that I woke up at 6 plus. so early???I like to sleep thru the nite and be up at about 8 refreshed by the morning breeze...Hee.It just feels good.

Just before I got back to sleeping, He awoke me again & reminded me of 2 Timothy 4:7 several times.I didnt know what the verse was.
Then He reminded me again of the book I started reading yest by Kenneth Hagin. I could almost sense what he was already trying to show me. I flip open e first page and it was the verse I've been meditating yesterday. It was on the first page of the first paragraph! 2 Timothy 4:7.Nothing could be more exact than this.
The title for the page was Running the race...the Bible says you are not only to run the race, but you are to finish your race on course...
Exactly a month ago, I ask one of my fren to explain to me e verse Phil 1:6 God's been speaking to me. "And I am sure that God, who began a good work in you, will carry it on until it is finished on the day of Christ Jesus" He explain it together with Hebrew 12:1. This was also the main verse used on the first page I found 2 Tim 4:7. Following that, he wrote "...freedom from the past "
Bring this with you if you're lost in between...=)
God still speaks to His people today.You're not just an ordinary person but precious to Him =)You don't need to be only depended on your leaders or pastor as the only source God brings His Word to you. The Holy Spirit in them is the same in YOU.We are all sons and daughters of the Most High God.But of course be always ready to receive from your leaders and pastors as well! Pay close attention to the Word they give you. Because it's God that has annoited them to preach the good news to you.
Pray in tongues always. I realised that most often times He gives me the verses after I done so.It puts you in a position to know the things of the spirit.
Listen closely to the still small voice.If you ever hear Him speaking...Obey it. Because blessing is already ahead of you!
