One day one of my fren came sharing to me about e problem she’s facing at home, regarding one of her family members. On Sunday night when I came home, I just felt this very strong prompting of the Holy Spirit to pray for a breakthrough for her dad. I was so certain then that I msg her to pray along with me.
Thereafter, I continue reading one of Kenneth Hagin’s book and the next phrase was on prayer. He asked the congregation to come to pray together for the salvation of their love ones. By the end of the year, it was a 100% result.
The next day, after she msg me in the morning,He gave me this verse from 1 Corinthians 2:14:
14But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16For "who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?" F8 But we have the mind of Christ.
I didn’t quite fully know what he was trying to show me but never mind…so I continue reading on the rest of the verses. When I came to the verse mind of Christ, I hear him telling me …..go and look up the verses on mind.A reference on the word mind.Then it just dawn on me to go back to the book I was reading by Kenneth Hagin, and e first page that I flip to that caught my eye was…they prayed in the same purpose in mind…mind again?hehe.ok.
Then I skip back to reading another book by E.W.Kenyon.Hee.The following chapter,the first main verse quoted was from 1 Cor 2:14 too!and the rest of the few chapters…
The next thing He told me was to pray for His salvation rather than to pray against the sin that is in his life.Ok…I thought, I should start praying for His salvation then.
Yea…so the three things that I gotten was the verse, the word mind & His salvation…and from there I went about studying it…which I’ll share later =)
The next confirmation after all that God has shown me was during bs, when Pastor Joshua quoted the last verse from Ephesians 4:23
23and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
This morning He “shock” me again.Hehe.Out of the blue, I just decided to grab a book from my shelf and I toke out Reinhard Bonnke-Mighty Manifestation that I’ve not touch for some time. Hoping to find something on mind. I randomly open it and e first verse that stare into my eyes was 1 Cor 2:14! I almost fainted.Hee.
After reading e passage, I decided to go for something “lighter”.Toke out Michelle Mckinney Hammond book.Love her books…she writes mainly to gals =)so gals…get a hold of it. It’ll bless you so much that you will began seeing yourself as a princess =)As usual, if I’ve read the book, I would randomly open it. Low and behold, the title was renewing of your mind!I didn’t even expect to find it there.God’s just so real. When He wants you to know something, He’ll do anything to make sure you have it!So rest in His love for us beloved. He knows the desires of your heart!

Ok lets go back to 1 Cor 2:14…
14But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
So who are these natural men? Different translation says it differently…
The man without the spirit/the man govern by the senses/spritually dead
Why cant we in human nature without God unable to receive the things of the spirit and know them? And it goes on to say that this are only for those who are spiritually discern.
But in the natural, why cant we understand the things of the spirit?
This brings us back to the time of Adam. Remember, when Adam first live in the Garden of Eden, he had perfect fellowhip with God. He had contact with God through the spirit. They were friends =) But after he sin by eating the forbidden fruit, which God has told them not to, He lost contact of God and His presence.He became spiritually dead and his senses now has dominion over his spirit. He no longer is able to discern the things of God. This points us back to what 1 Cor 2:14 was saying.
What about the mind?It’s out thoughts.It is what we think and process from our senses. Remember, now we are govern by our 5senses(hearing, seeing, tasting…)so watever we feed on is process in our mind and sometimes we dun even have control over it.
Lets see what a person in the natural thinks:
Romans 8:7 says:
7Why is this true? Because if a person’s thinking is controlled by his sinful self, then that person is against God. That person refuses to obey God’s law. And really that person is not able to obey God’s law. 8Those people that are ruled by their sinful selves cannot please God.
Colossians 1:21:
21At one time you were separated from God. You were God’s enemies in your minds(not in His mind), because the evil things you did were against God.
Do you see it how corrupted our minds are…it was said that even if we want to obey, we are unable to. So if you have been trying to be good and resisting every temptation that comes but still fail, dun ever you fell condemn or feel guilty & shameful…it not your fault. It’s because we are born sinners and our senses have dominion over us.
Eph 6:12 For our struggles are not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against e power of darkness and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
So dun blame yourself….your dad…your mum…your love ones for missing the mark..we are not fighting against human flesh but the power of darkness.
It’s satan that has blinded their minds.This is clearly stated here:
4The ruler F17 of this world (the devil) has blinded the minds of people who don’t believe. They cannot see the light (truth) of the Good News—the Good News about the glory of Christ.
So how then can we get back into the presence of God. How can we be made friends with God again =) How can we live and discern the things of the spirit and not let our natural man/senses has dominion over us?
Colossians 1:21-23
21At one time you were separated from God. You were God’s enemies in your minds, because the evil things you did were against God. 22But now Christ has made you God’s friends again. Christ did this by his death while he was in his body. Christ did this so that he could bring you before God. He brings you before God as people who are holy, F6 with no wrong in you, and with nothing that God can judge you guilty of. 23Christ will do this if you continue to believe in the Good News F7 you heard.
It’s only by His death on the cross.He has bear it all on the cross for us! Our sin became His and now he sees us righteous- no wrong in you and nothing God can judge you guilty of!
Your spirit man is being Recreated. You are now New Creation IN Christ 2 Cor 5:17
You're not just renewed for once/week/month, but He renews you everyday.It's a continuous process!(2 Corinthians 4:16)
You are NOW no longer govern by you senses but BY THE SPIRIT THAT DWELLS IN YOU.
I also realised that after every the scriptures mention about living in sin…the following verses shows us the solution.That is to believe on his death for us.For example…
1)Ephesians 2:3-6
We did all the things our bodies and minds wanted. We were {evil} people. We should have suffered God’s anger because of the way we were. We were the same as all other people.
4But God’s mercy is very great, and God loved us very much. 5We were {spiritually} dead. We were dead because of the things we did wrong against God. But God gave us new life with Christ. You have been saved by God’s grace (kindness). 6And God raised us up with Christ and gave us a seat with him in the heavenly places. God did this for us who are in Christ Jesus
2) Ephesians 4:22
22You were taught to leave your old self. This means that you must stop living the evil way you lived before. That old self becomes worse and worse, because people are fooled by the evil things they want to do. 23You must be made new in your hearts and in your thinking. 24You must become a new person, made to be like God—made to be truly good and holy. F35
3) Colossians 1:21-22

We get a new life from the spirit Gal 5:25 after we have been raised IN Christ.
Now we know that our spirit is being recreated, how about the mind? The mind that has held your spirit in captivity is still the same old mind.Your mind can be brought under subjection and control but cannot be renewed but only through the WORD!
This renewal of the mind is only held possible through the Holy Spirit which lives in us the moment we receive Christ.
Look at this beautiful truth by john piper…
Which brings us finally to the remedy and how we obey Romans 12:2, “Be transformed in the renewal of your mind.” First, before we can do anything, a double action of the Holy Spirit is required. And then we join him in these two actions. The reason I say the Holy Spirit is required is because this word “renewal” in Romans 12:2 is only used one other place in all the Greek Bible, namely, Titus 3:5 where Paul says this: “[God] saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.” There’s the word “renewal” which we’ve seen is so necessary. And it is renewal “of the Holy Spirit.” The Spirit renews the mind. It is first and decisively his work. We are radically dependent on him. Our efforts follow his initiatives and enablings.

Pray for the salvation of your love ones, so that their spirit will be renewed IN Christ.If you are already saved, continue to renew your mind by feeding on His Word, so that we may have the mind of Christ to do not only the acceptable and good but the perfect will of God !
