The Eagle & the Tree

This message is birth forth during one of my lowest moments. Today I receive another news that brought more pain in me like never before, but I was greatly comforted when the Lord showed me this analogy that I’m about to share to you.

I dun usually share out the details as to how the Lord leads me into something, but I just felt that this one was different and maybe is a message from the Lord for all of us.
I wrote to show you that Jesus is so real at times that it’s simply hard to doubt he’s not. This entry is purely a journey the Lord has led me into writing the next entry “ the Righteous shall grow like cedars in Lebanon” It would be too long if I would to include it here=)

I love what pearl wrote to me recently, When it is the right season, His revelation will come effortlessly. I have learnt not to strive in trying to understand a word now. Cos Abba will make sure His message will come through to me clearly and I have the peace to receive. Amen!” I really thank God for this dear sister although I do not know her personally, but you have spoke volume into my life this pass few days. I believe it’s never coincidental that the Lord has sent you to comfort me. I’m sure we’ll meet up in church one day=)

About 3weeks ago, I found out something which made me really disheartened. As usual, I would flip open my Bible & randomly read it with unceasing tears in my eyes.Hee~you know when you’re down, you try to grab as much verses as you can=) But this time, the first verse that I open up to was from Isaiah  65:22,
“My people will live a long time as tree live a long time”

The word tree came alive to my spirit. Seconds after that, Shin Ying message me, “…u’re like a tree planted by the water He’ll look after you” she also gave me another verse which Pastor Chin preached in campus the week when I was away with the word tree in it from Jer 17:7.

Following that I took hold of a book by Kenneth Hagin called Soaring like the eagles. In that the Lord inspire in me to stand strong in His Word.

In the same week Pastor Dan mention about tree & eagles in leaders meeting.
Here’s something, which I wrote to one my fren,
“Pastor mention "You're like a tree planted by the rivers of living water" in leaders meeting today. Tree seem to be a word for me now=)Two words that have been alive in my spirit recently were tree and eagle. I was reading a whole book on eagles by Kenneth E. Hagin two days back. And Pastor preached on eagles too in leaders meeting!…”

The following week, I decided to open up a NRSV Bible Shin Ying gave me which I hardly touch.hehe. It was one of her none use bible and she ask me if I wanted it. Of course=)and I toke it to add on to my collection of Bibles at home. Lo and behold, the first page I open up to was a list of parables in the bible. One of which was the Eagles & the tree in Ezekiel 17. I never knew this parable existed. I knew then the Lord has something for me, but I still couldn’t figure it out.

What really got me in finding out more was when I read an excerpt from belovedpearls’s blog, In that dream, I heard someone speaking words of poetry about a tree like a willow tree being planted by the waters”..not only that, she posted with it 2 exact same verses Shin Ying gave me. And she’s not someone from campus who happens to listen to the message.

I was curious then to find out whether willow tree was mentioned in the Bible, and to my surprised it was found in the parable of the Eagle and the tree!

I tried so hard to understand this parable and what the Lord is trying to tell me from this passage but I still couldn’t. I wrote to belovedpearl if she understands and here’s a little of what she wrote which was good and funny too,
“..So got no flow then to understand, today still no flow yet…

I had searched for “willow tree” as it was given to me in that dream a month ago. That’s when I found Ezekiel 17.

I dun understand about the two eagles and how they linked to the Israelites' fate. But I did ask Abba to tell me or any of our pastors so that they can share. When in doubt, ask Abba. =)… Much like Psalm 104:16 The trees of the LORD are well watered, the
cedars of Lebanon that he planted….”

I got a shocked of my life when I saw that verse. It was the verse I was looking up in my other site.

It happened this morning, as I was pondering over the verse tree planted by rivers of living water…something inside got me asking. What tree did Jesus meant? He has mention many trees like fig, olives, fur…but what is the tree that He most talk about?

I read Ezekiel 17 again and search thru e-sword to find out that Jesus mention the most on Cedar tree. The word cedar was use many times in many forms, but only one verse I found which the Lord gave a representation of Cedar liken to us in Psalms 92:12
The righteous… shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon…

That’s where the Lord showed me more about the Cedar tree (following entry)
