"After Job has prayed for his friends, God gave him success again. God gave Job twice as much as he had owned before." Job42:10
I never really saw that before. It was so simple and direct but I knew not of.
Can I be honest with you. It wasn't easy for me at first to start offering prayers there and then for my frens. Not that I didn't want God to bless them but it just wasn't something I do constantly. I realise then how little I did actually pray for my friends. The only times I remember praying for them is at the moment when they requested for it and only when I remember.
I then said a short prayer for my friends in HM camp, and my parents. It didn't come out naturally. But I realised something amazing as I toke hold of this. As I began to pray more, it became easier. I can sense His rivers of living water flowing out of me. I think less of myself. I look away from my own worries. It became something supernatural.
Ask yourself this question today. How often do you pray for your friends. You'll be amazed at the answer. Something so powerful and simple but yet we neglect it in our daily walk.
I was so excited about this revelation that I msg it to one of my Mighty Man in DARE..."I found something interesting today.after Job prayed for his frens, God gave him success!job42:10"
It came to me as a double confirmation when I saw it in the church Daily Devotion today! I almost fainted. Hee~I've had several encounter like this but to me this one was very different. Of all things on Job??It's really from the Lord to you guys=)
Even when you have nothing to give but prayers, your prayers will not return to you void. God can answer them exceedingly above what you have asked. When Job lost everything that he possessed, he prayed for his friends, and the Lord not only restored his losses, but “gave Job twice as much as he had before”. (Job 42:10) (Dec 21,New Creation Daily Devotion)
